Project Brief
The brief was to create a bespoke sealed canopy over an outside dining & kitchen space. The clients where very creative and wanted a design that was a break from the normal pergola and canopies on the market. We used aluminium box section to create a sharp pergola frame. Above the dining table, we used toughened laminated glass to allow not only light to flood in but to not block the stunning views around the space. Within the support beams that supported the glass, we installed warm white spot lights. Above the kitchen we design a bespoke laser cut soffit which was back lit with warm white strip lighting. For the design of the panel, we took the Moroccan style of the tiles used for the kitchen and designed a bespoke pattern to help blend the design into the kitchen setting. The panels were painted in a lighter cream to match accents of the tiles – this was to help soften the underside and to maximise the impact of the pattern.
