Project Brief

The ex-council house was built in the early 1900’s in a rural setting. The client wanted to update the aesthetic of the property to a more modern and contemporary style while still maintaining the character of the old building. The old frontage of the house was to be turned into the side/rear of the property. By adding a full length pergola along the old frontage, the pergola breaks the façade and helps re-position the property in the setting of the grounds. We used a wrap over aluminium box section to frame the new decking area and allow light to flood into the space.

Materials used:

  • 120×120 aluminium box section framework.
  • 150×50 Aluminium louvres
  • Warm White LED strip Lights – operated on remote and dimmable
  • Colour: RAL 9005
